My name is Jade Pennyman, a journalist and cultural storyteller passionate about amplifying community voices, music, and culture. My reporting spans print, digital, and multimedia platforms, with work featured in The Philadelphia Citizen, The Slate, Syracuse.com, and The Newshouse. I also run my own Substack dedicated to music and cultural commentary, where I explore the stories behind the sounds and the artists shaping our culture.

I bring a multimedia approach to every story. At Syracuse.com and Newyorkupstate.com, I created short videography-style social media content highlighting marginalized communities, arts, and culture.
